The Student Council is an institutional body of the LABA Academy of Fine Arts that aims to safeguard the interests of its members. It is a member by right during Course/School Councils and during the Academic Council. 

It consists of 5 members elected from among the students belonging to the first and/or second level Diploma courses; the term of office of each member is two years. It may also lapse, in addition to termination of office, for failure to perform its duties as noted by the Student Council itself or for completion of the course of study.
