These are some of the topics that make up the Course of Studies in Master "re-design Medicine" the essential tools to design, shape and transform Healthcare. You will be allowed knowledges to rethink Medicine, design of the future hospitals and medical devices.

The world is opening up to new opportunities and who's widely skilled to create, manage, both in marketing and financially innovative ideas, will stands out of the crowd and conduct which decision-makers in global companies.

You will be as qualified as a leading figure in a field such as Digital Medicine as mHealth, in global market place expected to reach $49.12 billion by 2020.

PREREQUISITES

Basic mathematical and Sciences knowledge (at a high school level). User friendly with computer and web.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic diploma (level I) awarded by an Academy of Fine Arts; 
  • Technology or Sciences degree (University); 
  • Similar title issued by foreign institution, as long recognized as valid by law. 
  • Five-year's managerial or executive experience (public or private sector)

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Unit I 
● basic principles of Medical Sciences, an opening on new discoveries (genomics, optogenetics, Terahertz Medicine, Regenerative Medicine...); ; 
● the health-care system world: processes, protagonists and hospitals and health facilities; 
● introduction bioengineering and IT (Robotics, exoskeletons, 3D bioprinting...); 
● trend new digital technology and medicine (self-care M, M-Health, Translational Medicine, RV, RA ...); 
● connecting interfaces with humans, machine and building: the "hospital entity. 

Unit II 
● how to determine whether an innovation is aligned with its environment and succeed; 
● the elements of a viable competitive strategy of an innovative enterprise for health care; 
● create your business plan: innovative business models for health care: analysis of case studies; how to protect your idea (patent guide); 
● privacy and cybersecurity. 

Unit III 
● basic principles of innovation and the effects on healthcare structures (reverse engineering); 
● tools for distinguishing successful innovations from those that are not: case studies; 
● principles of coding: "R" and use in Microsoft Azure; 
● how to anticipate business opportunities: use Big-Data (display, mini Data Mining, Machine Learning), introduction to predictive models, construct scenarios, collateral thinking and other techniques to boost your creativity; 
● Crowd Platforms resources: GitHub, Kaggle, Kickstarter, AWS, edx. 

Lab activities 
(Fablab Turin, Casa Jasmina and Officine Arduino) 
● use of machinery and technologies time training, for a digital fabrication: 3D printing, laser cutting, milling and bases CAD 2D and 3D; 
● prototype development with use of machinery and tutors to support your activities.
